Profile

Mr Harris is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London. He graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1991 to embark upon his surgical career. After four years of training in general surgery at a number of London teaching hospitals, he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS). He then undertook eight years of training in Plastic Surgery in London as well as periods spent at specialist centres in Australia and Belgium. In 2002, he gained the Specialist Fellowship in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) and was entered on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in 2004.

In 1999, Mr Harris was awarded the higher post-graduate degree of Doctorate in Medicine (MD) having spent two years at the University of London developing a laboratory produced artificial skin replacement for burn victims. This research was sponsored by The Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has published his work comprehensively within the Plastic Surgery literature throughout his career and presented nationally and internationally at Plastic Surgery conferences. He is actively involved in teaching at postgraduate level and has lectured at the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons instructional meetings.

Following the completion of his surgical training in England he was awarded a travelling fellowship by the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons and spent six months in Melbourne studying with one of the World’s leading authorities in Aesthetic Surgery. His main interests are facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, body contouring, and liposuction.

He is currently a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London where he specialises in reconstructive surgery following ablative cancer excision, in particular head & neck reconstruction and breast reconstruction. Privately he operates in Central London at The Cromwell Hospital and in Surrey at St Anthony's Hospital and Clare Park Hospital. He is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).

Mr Harris works within a team of surgeons, specialist plastic surgery nurses, personal assistants and receptionists in his private practice at The Consulting Suite in Central London.
